The Queen of Little Things

Take it from a serial candle collector, once you start finding an escape in the little things, it’s hard to go back. I started buying scented candles almost 2 years back. After a stressful day at work, I would just light one up (that sounded wrong, but I will continue) and feel instant relief. Music would do that for me until I exhausted my playlist and the new songs didn’t offer the same solace. I still go back to some of my old songs that comfort me not necessarily because they are soothing but because they remind me of simpler times. It was like my mind would instantly connect the song with the location I used to listen to it in and then transport me to that time. Crazy! Baking or cooking shows played their part too. Just watching someone create something so edible scrumptious from scratch interestingly has quite a soothing effect on your body. Sunlight catcher by day and stargazer by night, I look for every reason to be happy in the little things.

What is that little thing you can’t get enough of?

This blog is an attempt at taking charge of my life and giving “writing” – my passion – a chance to revive. Having tested myself over the years, I know I lose interest in my initiatives easily and hardly do I ever complete what I started. So, I have given myself a schedule and a deadline. I took inspiration from my very recent watch – Julie & Julia. Go watch it if you haven’t already! Take some time to explore the blog, read something interesting, subscribe to know every time I post and feel free to comment or reach out if you would like to collaborate on a project together.

  1. What a beautiful expression of writing so simply, gracefully yet so deep… this is just awesome… keep up the good work.
